MELY’S YOGURT AND ICE CREAM opened its door September 15, 1985.  It is named after one of the owners, Mely B.  Mely’s serves Edy’s Hard Ice Cream and Yocream’s Soft Frozen Yogurt as well as Kansas City’s best swiss chocolate – Andre’s Chocolate.

Mely’s is also known for seasonal specialties:

EASTER: Easter sugar arts (panoramic eggs, sugar lamb); freshly baked lamb cakes; and Ukrainian eggs.

CHRISTMAS: freshly baked gingerbread houses (decorated and undecorated) sugar arts (sugar bells, sugar balls, Christmas tree, lamb); peanut brittle.

HALLOWEEN and THANKSGIVING: sugar pumpkins.

Yogurt cakes and ice cream cakes and pies are available year round.  Hawaiian shaved ice is also available year round in different flavors like cherry, grape, tiger blood, lemon lime, and more.
